Tuna is also a good protein source, and is very easy to prepare right out of the can. You can also opt to have fresh tuna, which is best grilled. Tuna contains more heavy metals, so it is best eaten only once a week at most.

Getting enough protein is very important for weight loss. After intense workouts, protein is needed for the muscles to rebuild. While pork and beef provide a lot of protein, they also contain lots of fat and no beneficial fatty acids. Fish is a much better source of protein because it contains good fats, while providing a good amount of protein as well.
